Coxes Meeting 11:00am – 1st RACE 11:30a.m.
As Fowey Triathlon is being held the same day we ask that gigs arrive as early as possible at Caffa Mill.
If your club was originally attending our event we ask if you could please ask your rowing secretary to email our rowing secretary to let us know if you can attend.
If you wish to attend please Contact Us we may have additional space if not all clubs confirm the new date. (Please note space is limited).
Mixed (time permitting)
Fowey Harbour commissioners have kindly given permission to use the Berril’s yard (Lifeboat) pontoon & gangway for today’s racing.
Owing to insurance constraints only 12 persons are permitted upon the gangway at any time, to facilitate this RFGC members will police access & egress of the gangway, so please be patient.
To further ease congestion certain clubs will be assigned to the “Old” ferry slip for the purpose of crew “changeovers”.
Prizes will be presented after each race, & raffle to be drawn after the U14 race.
Additional cups will be awarded for:
Overall, most successful club on the day. – Highest placed Ladies vets. – The Jill Rylance cup, between Fowey & Mevegissey U16’s. – Derrick Keith memorial cup, between Fowey & Charlestown vets.
No “A” rowers in a “B” race.
There will be a 2 minute flag raised, & the starter can start the race at any time during the 2 minutes.
Coxes will be told when they are over the line – it is their responsibility to be behind the line when the flag is dropped. Any gig over the line at the start of the race will be disqualified.
The 2 minute flag for the second heat will be raised 1 minute after the start of the first heat.
There will be no berth positions.
Gigs will always remain outside of the designated mooring areas.
CPGA rules apply in all other circumstances.
